Altaport and 1200.aero Announce Strategic Partnership to Provide Integrated Operations Tracking, Fee Collection and Transient Management Solution for Airports

Lehi, Utah - Aug. 19, 2024 - Altaport, a modern airport operations management solution, has partnered with 1200.aero, a leader in airport operations tracking, to provide a new service that automates operations tracking, fee collection, and transient management for airports, all within a single integrated platform. Altaport and 1200.aero designed the platform to support airport managers facing ever-increasing demands on their time and resources, and to support airports in their preparations for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).

“We are thrilled to be introducing this new operations management platform in partnership with 1200.aero, the industry leader in airport operations tracking,” said Cory Cozzens, CEO of Altaport. “This platform provides airport managers with resources invaluable to the airports’ efforts to ensure safe and efficient airport operations, and takes us one more critical step towards a fully-automated airport operations management solution,” said Cory Cozzens, CEO of Altaport.

“Combining 1200.aero and Altaport’s smart technology gives airports an enhanced level of operational visibility and revenue enhancement that they’ve never had before, allowing airport management to focus more on safety and less on general administrative issues,” said Ivan Vasquez, CEO of 1200.aero.

This new collaboration integrates 1200.aero’s robust ADS-B operations tracking, visualization, and reporting solution with Altaport’s automated fee collection and transient management offerings. Leveraging this platform, airports are able to effortlessly increase visibility into airport usage, improve FAA reporting and safety efforts, and enhance revenue collection. The platform has been implemented at several general aviation airports, including Paso Robles Municipal Airport (KPRB), Penn Yan Airport (KPEO), and Miami University Airport (KOXD).

“The service provided by 1200.aero and Altaport has greatly increased efficiency at Paso Robles Airport,” said Mark Scandalis, Manager of Paso Robles Municipal Airport. “As a non-towered General Aviation Airport with limited staffing and resources, the Airport sought solutions for operations tracking, data collection, and use fee collection. The onboarding of the 1200.aero and Altaport platforms has helped the Airport accurately track aircraft operations, free up staff time, collect revenue for the ongoing maintenance of the Municipal Airport, and justify FAA grant funding requests including retention of our FAA funding status for our crosswind runway.”
